A Note From Our Area Director's Wife:  Angie Trementozzi

We have many women serving as missionaries in Southern Europe. This month I would like to feature Amelia Barela who has served as a professor at Seminario Evangélico Español. Amelia is an incredible woman with a gift for teaching. She is loved by her students and highly respected by her peers. Amelia is a great example to those of you who might have teaching gifts and wonder if those gifts could be used in missions. The answer is - YES! Life as a single missionary can be a rewarding adventure. Here's what Amelia has to say about it:

I'm very thankful for the privilege to serve God here at Seminario Evangelico Espanol in La Carlota, Cordoba, Spain.  Most of my ministry has been in bible schools in the states, and now here in Spain.

In my own experience I have seen God's faithfulness; he truly is mindful of our lives. Days when one seems to need more help or special help, He is always there. He continually challenges us to keep growing, and to keep trusting Him.

One of the things that stands out for me are the wonderful students I've met through the years. The opportunity and privilege to have them in the classroom has enriched my life. Bible school has its challenges, however, the sense that one is helping prepare students to enter the ministry is worth it all.

La Carlota, the town where I live is a nice small town. People get to know you as well as check you out; and you get to know them. We trust and pray that in some way our lives would speak to them about Jesus and His love.”

Blessings,
Amelia Barela

So how about you? Do you have a passion to teach, gifted as a secretary, like to lead worship, work with teenagers, pastor a church? The opportunities are endless, but we need you to take advantage of those opportunities across Southern Europe!

Blessings,

Angie Trementozzi
