Spain is a very modern country, but it has a wonderful mixture of the old and the new. There are some incredible things to see here such as Roman ruins from the first century, gigantic cathedrals, outdoor coffee shops, giant aqueducts, etc. There are also modern attractions such as Universal Studios, Caribbean Water Park, and in the larger cities they have the Hard Rock Cafe, giant malls, museums, castles, etc. There are a tons of beaches, incredible restaurants, and on and on. It's Europe!!!!

Weather:

The weather is generally mild, but in specific places like Madrid the weather can be more extreme in the summer (90's or 100's) and in the winter (30's and 40's). Along the coast there is always a nice breeze to cool things off as the water keeps things more temperate.  There are days when it can get really cold and really hot but they are usually not sustained. The rainy season is usually March through May and some in September - October, but it has been know to rain anytime for a day or several hours.  For the latest weather click on www.weather.com and select the link that says "World".
